With more than 25 years’ experience in a wide spectrum of blue-chip corporations in leadership roles, working with top executives as a trusted advisor and internal business partner, Sharon truly understands the corporate business narrative and organizational context which has gained her the credibility of someone who has “hands–on” experience and has “been there, done that”. Sharon’s trademark ability is to quickly understand the key challenges and issues facing the business, and to design and implement focused, effective and highly pragmatic solutions to lead the organizational change processes it needs to undertake, and to grow internal talent and develop leadership capabilities.
To succeed and achieve clear business results, Sharon owns a unique set of skills enabling her to empower, mobilize and drive her business partners. Having worked in most major markets (US/Canada, S.Africa, all of Europe, Latin America, Turkey, Russia, India, Japan, China) as well as in Israel, Sharon understands the cultural nuances enabling her to operate as a true global business partner. Until recently Sharon was Executive Director and Talent Development Leader, Global Markets for Merck, where she established “MSD University,” focused on accelerating the development of local leaders and critical organizational capabilities in the Emerging Markets in order to enable game-changing sustainable growth.
As part of this effort, she led the design, development and execution of one of Merck’s flagship leadership programs, the Emerging Markets Future Leaders Program, in collaboration with Harvard Business School. This program was recognized in 2013 with the prestigious Chief Learning Officer’s Gold Award for Global Learning in Practice.
Over her 25+ years in the corporate world, Sharon has held roles of increasing global impact in corporations such as, Merck & Co, IBM and National Westminster (a major UK bank) and worked with a variety of industries including Banking, Insurance, Pharma, Government, Military and Retail. She has also participated in distinguished academic training and is a certified executive coach and trainer. Sharon, who was born and raised in the UK, and has lived much of her life in Israel, holds an MSc in Organizational Behavior from the University of London.
